Needs From: Girl Scouts North East Ohio

Starting at 10am we need volunteers to sign up to help tear down camp. Since I'm needing to leave Saturday morning, they will report to LOGISTICS. Basically, is it possible that the sign-up includes their name and about what time they can report to get jobs? These can be trainers, participants, etc. THIS SHIFT IS TO CLOSE THE MCALONAN SITE FRIDAY EVENING.

Starting at 8am - We're hoping for 10 volunteers to help finish set-up for camp... these volunteers can help welcome table set-up as well. Last year Carole provided lunch for all who were out there helping on Wednesday so we can double check with her on that possibility again this year. Our hope would be to be totally ready to go for ALE by around lunch time so that our volunteers have a break before check-in/arrival times start.

As a Canoe Program Facilitator, you’ll lead fun canoeing programs for Girl Scouts in 4th grade and up at our camp properties. You’ll teach basic paddling skills, keep everyone safe, and help girls work together as a team on calm, flat water.

Train the trainers in archery! Archery Instructors hold a Level II Certification with USA Archery, qualifying them to teach and certify other adults. We train and certify instructors through USA Archery.

Train the trainers in canoeing! Canoe Instructors hold a Level II Certification, qualifying them to teach and certify other adult facilitators. Through this training, facilitators gain the skills to lead canoeing activities that teach girls discipline, control, teamwork, and outdoor awareness.

Cadette Summit is a the weekend of May 15 to 17 at Camp Ledgewood.  Check in for weekend volunteers is Friday May 15 from 4 to 6:30 PM with Cadette arriving starting at 7 PM. Specific volunteer role information will be shared by the Volunteer Coordinator for the weekend. The registration link will be shared when registration opens.  For more information check out the webpage and adult volunteer packet. To volunteer for the weekend it costs $25 which includes an event t-shirt, meals Saturday and Sunday.  To volunteer for just one day its cost $10 which includes an event t-shirt and one meal.

Weekend program volunteer shifts run on Saturdays and Sundays between 9am and 4pm. Separate programs run in the morning and in the afternoon so if you are available half days that works as well - just let us know!

Students will range from grades K- 12. You may also lend a hand with event coordination tasks like check-in, organization, and clean-up.

Camp coaches are positive, caring, responsible, adult volunteers who serve as a trusted friend and guide to girls and leaders at camp. They support and facilitate safe troop/group camping at all GSNEO Council owned properties.

As a Range Safety Officer (RSO), you’ll make sure everything runs safely during air rifle shooting programs for Girl Scouts. You’ll work alongside the instructor to set up the range, lead safety briefings, and supervise girls while they practice shooting. This role is certified by the NRA and helps girls build focus, confidence, and respect for safety.

Submit your active troop and service unit hours, this includes (but is not limited to) time in troop meetings and attending events and activities. Please follow the steps below to submit your hours. 

1) Respond 'Yes' or Register to 'attend' this need

2) Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of your screen

3) Click Track Hours

4) Scroll to 'Hours Type'. Select 'Yes' then select this need from the drop down list. 

5) Under 'Hours Details' choose any date (if submitting weekly hours choose a date from within the week you are submitting, if submitting monthly hours choose a date from within the month you are submitting).

6) Enter your active volunteer hours

7) Click 'Submit Hours Entry'. This will submit the hours for approval. Approval check should be completed within 3-4 business days.
