Needs From: Girl Scouts North East Ohio

Come out to the STEM Center to help out with girl scout programs!

We'd love a few extra hands for the following programs: 

11/15: 10-1 Robot Bonanza- intro to robotics and coding for younger girl scouts.  Super simple and fun activities that don't require any coding experience. 

11/15 3-6 Space Themed SU Program-  explore space with robots, create a space craft and explore the StarLab 

11/22- 12-3  Nature themed SU Program: help girls explore bugs, trees, and art with hands-on STEM activities 

NO experience or special abilities needed, just a curiosity and excitement for STEM! 

Be a Field Trip Volunteer!

Join us for a day of hands-on learning and fun! Help North-East Ohio students explore STEM with hands-on fun learning experiences!  Activities may include testing pond water, running 3D printers, programming robots, and more. Students will range from grades K- 12. You may also lend a hand with event coordination tasks like check-in, organization, and clean-up.

No experience or training necessary. There will always be a STEM Staff person running the program, but the more helping hands the better.

Field trip shifts:
Tuesdays and Thursdays
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (during the school year)

Be a Field Trip Volunteer!

The STEM Center hosts programs for Girl Scouts, troops and service units on Saturdays year round.   STEM Programs cover a variety of topics including building a bird house, testing DNA, programming robots, 3D printing, art projects, and so much more.   Check out the event calendar or program guide to see what we've got going on!  No expertise or training necessary.  There will always be a STEM staff member present for STEM programs, but an extra set of hands is always nice!

Saturday
9:30am - 12:30pm

12:30pm - 3:30pm

As an Astronomy Program Facilitator, you’ll lead fun and hands-on space programs for Girl Scouts! You’ll help girls of all ages learn about the night sky and earn their Space Badges. You will use telescopes, binoculars, and our observatories at Sugarbush and Timberlane.
