As a Canoe Program Facilitator, you’ll lead fun canoeing programs for Girl Scouts in 4th grade and up at our camp properties. You’ll teach basic paddling skills, keep everyone safe, and help girls work together as a team on calm, flat water.

Train the trainers in canoeing! Canoe Instructors hold a Level II Certification, qualifying them to teach and certify other adult facilitators. Through this training, facilitators gain the skills to lead canoeing activities that teach girls discipline, control, teamwork, and outdoor awareness.

Cadette Summit is a the weekend of May 15 to 17 at Camp Ledgewood.  Check in for weekend volunteers is Friday May 15 from 4 to 6:30 PM with Cadette arriving starting at 7 PM. Specific volunteer role information will be shared by the Volunteer Coordinator for the weekend. The registration link will be shared when registration opens.  For more information check out the webpage and adult volunteer packet. To volunteer for the weekend it costs $25 which includes an event t-shirt, meals Saturday and Sunday.  To volunteer for just one day its cost $10 which includes an event t-shirt and one meal.

As a Range Safety Officer (RSO), you’ll make sure everything runs safely during air rifle shooting programs for Girl Scouts. You’ll work alongside the instructor to set up the range, lead safety briefings, and supervise girls while they practice shooting. This role is certified by the NRA and helps girls build focus, confidence, and respect for safety.

Juliette Gordon Low believed learning outdoor skills was very important for girls, which is why it's something Girl Scouts still enjoy doing today! Join us for a day just for Brownies to learn beginner-level outdoor skills like knot tying, pocket knife safety, first aid, and fire making. Enjoy a snack you get to cook yourself over the campfire. Have fun spending the day at camp, challenging yourself to learn new skills, and meeting new friends!
